Living in Awe of God’s Promises
This Sunday we are going to be awed by God’s many promises He’s given us.  And the amazing thing about God’s promises is that because He’s a faithful, loving and all powerful God all of His promises will be fulfilled - unlike many of our promises.

    Crossing the Border of Myth
Today we’re looking at Jesus’ coming through a nontraditional source - the accounts of the apostle John - both in his gospel account and in the beginning of his first epistle.  In these he’s powerfully stating that Jesus’ coming wasn’t a myth but he really came in the flesh and they saw him, heard him and touched him.  That gives us confidence to believe in Jesus as well.

    Crossing the Border of Fear
Today we’re looking at how Jesus crossed the border wall of fear.  Throughout Scripture God is constantly telling people not to fear and He does the same thing at Christ’s birth.  Christ coming to us is a powerful reminder that we can face life’s challenges because God is with us.

Most of us like to think of ourselves as fairly self-sufficient.  We can meet most of our needs by our own effort.  And if we get in a jam, God’s always there to help bail us out.  Today’s sermon looks at this character flaw of self-sufficiency and how Jesus’ birth is an attack on that.

    Being Thankful
We’re ending our series on Learning to Love Like Jesus today with a focus on being thankful.  An attitude and discipline of thankfulness throughout the whole year will change your mindset and heart and even make you interesting to others and may even open up the possibility of telling them about Jesus.
