    Baptism
One of the distinctives of the Restoration Movement is it’s view on baptism. Often this view is seen as being a “work” as in working for one’s salvation. This morning I hope to clarify that this is not the case and provide a presentation of how baptism was a natural flow from the Jewish culture and how it’s an amazing picture of what happens when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

    Intro
This morning we’re beginning a new sermon series entitled, “Unity by Design”. During this series we’re going to be looking at God’s design for the church. In John 17, Jesus prayed for unity for his believers, and yet we don’t see that in the churches today. We are subdivided into thousands of different denominations and groups and it’s certainly not the powerful witness that God envisioned. We’re going to be looking at the background to the Christian Churches / Churches of Christ, which was intentionally designed to restore this unity.
